Alley is a freelance editor and writes articles, poetry, and speculative fiction in Grand Prairie, Texas. After thirty years in Quality Control, writing production and inspection specifications, quality manuals, and teaching production, inspection, and leadership skills, Alley has turned to freelance editing & writing fiction. She has been a board member and newsletter editor for several years at the DFW Writers' Workshop (www.dfwrite.org), is currently a board member and newsletter editor of her local RWA chapter (www.ntrwa.org), a member of the Writer's Guild of Texas, and co-founder and moderator of the North Texas Speculative Fiction Workshop (www.ntsfw.com). She attends numerous writer's workshops and SF/F conventions each year.
