Abandoned Towers is a unique magazine, which provides a wide range of high quality, enjoyable reading material, audio stories, video clips, and entertainment. Our online version provides a nice mixture of classic, public domain material and brand new, never before published material, with a sprinkling of enjoyable reprints thrown in for spice.
We publish Abandoned Towers Magazine in two ways:
Online, which is free.
Print, which is not free
While other magazines publish in both ways as well, Abandoned Towers is the only magazine that never cross publishes. What is published online will never show up in the print issues. What is published in the print issues will never show up online. This does mean that if you don't want to miss anything you have to read both versions, but we think you'll find it well worth your time.
The advantage for our authors is that, as long as they have content both online and in print, they benefit by good exposure to the internet audience with the ability to link their writing to other websites and blogs as well as being able to provide hard copies of exclusive content to their fans and the reading public in general.
The advantage to our readers is that whether they want fresh content to enjoy online every few days, or they want a printed publication that they can take outside and read while sitting under a tree, they can satisfy those needs and not be forced to read the same material in both places.
The advantage to us is that we can provide a much wider market for our authors, as well as a wider range of enjoyable material for our readers.
We have three goals:
1. Provide the general public with a rich experience and expand horizons by making available all the wonderful stuff people are writing but that no one else seems to want to publish.
2. Provide our authors with a respected publishing venue that doesn't restrict their creativity.
3. Provide brand new, never published authors a place to get those all important first publication credits.
However, just because we are willing to publish unknown, unpublished authors, don't expect to find material in our pages that looks like it was written by someone just starting out. We read for content, and when we accept something, we work with the author as long as it takes to assist him or her in polishing the material and learning the necessary skills to be a successful, professional writer in this industry What you find online, or in the pages of our print issue, is high quality, professional writing.. So come on in, the reading's fine.
Remember: what you'll find between the covers of the print issues you will never find on the online site. Nor will you ever find the online content inside one of the print issues. So don't miss out on anything. Be sure to get every print issue of Abandoned Towers Magazine (they only come out three times a year, certainly not a strain on anyone's budget) and visit the online pages frequently.
